Jennifer returned to Australia after 8 years in Hong Kong where she was President of Wharf Hotels with the Niccolo and Marco Polo Hotels brands with 17 hotels located across China, Hong Kong SAR, and Philippines. Jennifer is an accomplished senior executive, who has an extensive background in global corporate leadership and diverse board experiences. She is committed to the highest standards of governance, diversity and integrity and will bring to The Star a deep understanding of the importance of reputational management through a combination of business and academic experience in crisis leadership.
Jennifer is a Gold Coast local, who knows the Queensland tourism and business landscapes well, having studied at Bond University and Griffith University.

Bruce Mathieson Jr

With over 30 years of experience in the hotel, hospitality and gaming industries, Bruce commenced as an Observer on The Star Board on 1 September 2025. He is currently Director and CEO of Bruce Mathieson Group and a Director of Ord Minnett Investment Limited. Mr Mathieson is a former non-executive director of ASX listed Endeavour Group Limited and also, among other roles, was the CEO of ALH Group for over 11 years, during which he led the successful merger with Endeavour Drinks to form Endeavour Group in 2019 and the demerger of Endeavour Group and Woolworths in 2021. He has a Bachelor of Commerce, from Bond University.

Bronwyn Morris
Chair, The Star Brisbane
Bronwyn is a non-executive director with extensive experience in the publicly-listed, unlisted, government and not-for-profit sectors. She has over 25 years’ experience in the strategic, operational and financial aspects of a diverse range of entities and industry sectors. Bronwyn is an experienced Board chair and has extensive board committee experience including as chair of audit, risk, remuneration and special projects committees. She is a chartered accountant and a former audit and corporate services partner at KPMG.
